About the Foundation

A nonprofit foundation behind a focused U.S. market initiative

KAN TOTEM Incorporated provides the mission, strategic direction, and organizational framework for KAN TOTEM Honey USA.

Our role

Purpose, structure, and long-term direction

KAN TOTEM Incorporated is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit and charitable organization. Its role is to establish the public-purpose mission of the initiative, define its long-term direction, and build responsible relationships between producers, commercial partners, institutions, and U.S. market channels.

The foundation does not replace the producer or the commercial operator. It creates the framework in which each participant has a clear role, shared standards, and a practical path toward sustainable cooperation.

Through KAN TOTEM Honey USA, the foundation is developing a focused model for introducing premium honey from Kyrgyzstan to the United States with clear origin, professional presentation, and accountable commercial execution.

How the initiative works

Four names, four distinct responsibilities

The initiative is intentionally structured so that nonprofit purpose, brand development, commercial activity, and production remain clearly separated.

KAN TOTEM Incorporated

Provides the nonprofit mission, strategic direction, organizational framework, and partner standards.

KAN TOTEM Honey USA

Is the U.S.-facing project and brand through which the initiative is presented to customers and partners.

Nuki LLC

Handles commercial agreements, sales, invoicing, payment processing, customer service, and related business operations.

Dary Tyan-Shanya

Is the sole producer of the honey offered through Signature Set, Collection Sets, and the Partner Set Program.

Producer credibility

Built around one established producer

Every honey product in the initiative is produced by Dary Tyan-Shanya in Kyrgyzstan. Using one producer creates a clear line of responsibility for origin, product knowledge, quality expectations, and long-term product development.

According to the producer’s published record, Dary Tyan-Shanya has earned more than 43 international awards. Its Apimondia 2013 record includes three gold medals, two silver medals, and the exhibition Grand Prix.

Important distinction: these awards belong to the producer and its documented competition history. They are not presented as awards earned by KAN TOTEM Honey USA.

Why Kyrgyzstan

A distinctive origin with a real producer story

Kyrgyzstan is central to the initiative, not a decorative part of the brand story. The country’s mountain landscapes, diverse flowering plants, and long beekeeping tradition give the products a clear geographic and cultural origin.

KAN TOTEM Honey USA presents that origin in a form designed for the U.S. market: understandable product formats, premium presentation, clear producer attribution, and separate paths for standard sets and contract-based partner programs.

The goal is to build recognition for honey from Kyrgyzstan while preserving the identity of the producer behind it.

What we are building

A practical route from producer to U.S. partner

The initiative is designed for buyers who need more than a generic wholesale offer. It creates a structured path for specialty retail, hospitality, tourism, corporate gifting, institutional programs, distribution, and buyer-specific partnerships.

Standard product lines provide a clear starting point. Signature Set and Collection Sets are available in two fixed formats: 10 jars of 50 grams or 10 jars of 100 grams. Natural Honey and Cream Honey may be combined within a set, while jar weights are never mixed.

The Partner Set Program is a separate contract-based program. Its assortment, customization, pricing, minimum quantities, timing, and commercial terms are developed for the specific buyer and confirmed through an individual proposal.

Our operating principles

Clear roles, responsible claims, and durable partnerships

Our approach is based on a small number of practical principles:

  • identify the producer clearly and preserve product origin;
  • separate nonprofit purpose from commercial operations;
  • distinguish standard products from individually priced contract programs;
  • make only claims that can be supported by product or producer evidence;
  • build long-term relationships instead of one-time promotional campaigns;
  • give buyers a clear next step based on the type of opportunity they are exploring.

This structure allows the initiative to remain mission-led while operating with the commercial clarity expected by U.S. customers and partners.

One coordinated initiative

Honey is the product. Trusted cooperation is the model.

KAN TOTEM Honey USA connects a U.S. nonprofit foundation, a dedicated commercial operator, and one established Kyrgyz producer within a transparent structure built for long-term market development.
